Nothing quite beats a warm crumble fresh out of the oven accompanied by softly whipped cream. Or as our Grandad had it, with runny double cream eaten for breakfast! He was a smart man indeed.
As we say goodbye to our Autumn fruit for another year, we are making the most of the last of the feijoas by cooking them with apples and enjoying them in this delicious crumble eaten snuggled on the couch under thick blankets.
